Notes.
I wanted to learn more about deploying to linux instances and whats actually involved, not an abstraction, so when I originally deployed lukeharback.com to an ec2 instance I used tomo. It was good, I was ssh'ing in and installing packages and getting my 'hands dirty'. This experience made me appreciate docker. So last week I migrated my website to be dockerized and deployed with kamal. It was an ok experience, just took a little long, but all good learnings.
Dark mofo was once again a success.
WWDC was fun, liquid glass is a fun idea. Will see how it is to use once its released.
Build.
I just hit print on DeskHog, a developers toy that brings joy. I don't use PostHog and assume this is some kind of marketing, but it is fun.
As previously stated, llm's and robotics is an area of immense interest to me. Vassar robots this week released a hand full of robots you can train via demonstration.
I've been telling anyone that will listen that Tasmania should have some sort of data center story. Its at the end of the world and 100% renewable energy. Amazon is investing in data center in Australia but unsure of locations.
Daydream.
The definitive book on Tom Sachs art by Tom Sachs pre order.
